About Us

Love Bug Farm was started in 2022 when we were offered a ½-acre plot at the Urban Farm Incubator site at Watkins Regional Park in Prince George’s County Maryland. We grow nutrient dense foods using regenerative farming practices that prioritize building soil health and supporting healthy ecosystems. Most of our vegetables are sold directly to families within 15 to 20 miles of our farm or to small businesses within our metro region. Nearly all of our produce is washed, packed and distributed within a day or two of being harvested. 

At the core of our work is caring for people and caring for our land. We believe that by strengthening connections between land, people, and food, we are able to develop food systems that better serve our planet, our communities, and ourselves. We are honored to be able to steward this land and to nourish our community through food and agriculture.
